Digest Authentication for HTTP GET requests

Post by to_me » Mon Jul 30, 2018 10:59 am

Hi, I have a HTTP request button(s) that needs to use Digest Authentication to talk to a home automation system. See https://wiki.indigodomo.com/doku.php?id ... stful_urls for the format of the commands. I can get commands to work if I use the username:password@ip.addr format in the IP Address field for the device, but would prefer a cleaner solution. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to do this in Touchcontrol Server?

The HTTPAuth button property is the preferred method of providing HTTP credentials. If you haven't tried that, please take a look at the HTTP Request button documentation in the instructions. http://www.touchapptech.com/instructions (search for "HTTPAuth")

Thanks Dave.

Did some more thorough testing with the various authentication methods available, and pleased to say that the HTTPAuth option worked.
